Frida Kahlo QC Paints 2022 Breed Shows Blue
Fall 2022

Grand Champion at Dressage at Lexington

We returned to Dressage at Lexington after a couple of years away and came home with our first breed show Grand Champion. Frida Kahlo QC, by Franklin and out of Special Premium/Elite Stute Rhosemary, by Rosentanz, scored 81.9% in the Two-Year-Old fillies class on her way to being named Champion FillyChampion Young Horse, and overall Grand Champion. She also won the Hanoverian IBC class with very good scores. She was a class act for her first big trip off of the farm as a young horse. This was extra special for us as Lexington is where I got my start in breed show handling, working alongside one of my mentors Bob Orton.

Champion Filly and Reserve Young Horse Champion at Devon

Even more success was to be found at Dressage at Devon. Frida was a last minute entry, and it turned out to be a good one! With scores up to 85+%, including a 9 on trot, Frida Kahlo QC won the large Two-Year-Old fillies class, the Hanoverian IBC, and was Champion FillyReserve Champion Young Horse, and highest placing Hanoverian. Frida becomes the fourth horse from our program to win a Championship title at Devon  and the third to qualify for the Grand Championship ring. We are very proud of our horses, had a lot of fun, and so appreciate having the Devon showgrounds and organizers in our backyard. What a historic show!
